Canary Wharf, E14

Ice Rink Canary Wharf

This year, Ice Rink Canary Wharf is returning bigger and brighter than ever, illuminating Canada Square Park for 16 weeks from Friday, 4th November 2016 through to Saturday, 25th February 2017.  LUMINOCITY at Ice Rink Canary Wharf, is the first of its kind in London. With more than 8km of LED lights laid beneath the ice and positioned throughout the venue, visitors will be amazed by the spectacle of lights set to music.

Victorian Santa's grotto at the Museum of London Docklands

Get into the Christmas spirit! Experience the Sailortown gallery, transformed with festive decorations and the sound of Victorian carols being sung in the distance. Find Santa in his grotto and receive a festive gift.

Hammersmith, W6

Virtual Reality Cabin

Partnering up with Riverside Studios, we will be utilising the latest virtual reality (VR) technology for people to experience in Lyric Square. Step into our special Alpine Cabin and be whisked away on a digital journey where you can get up and close with polar bears, try your hand at virtual snowboarding or take a wander around New York at Christmas.

Lyric Hammersmith, Christmas Pantomime

The Lyric's panto is always a highlight of Christmas in Hammersmith and this year the theatre has not one but two seasonal shows. The Christmas double bill of Cinderella, suitable for children over six, and Father Christmas for younger kids is now on at the Lyric, running through the festive season until Thursday, 5th January.

Vauxhall, SW8

Vauxhall Winter Village

Get into the festive spirit with London's newest winter attraction. Pick up your ski passes at the gate and be transported on an alpine adventure. Vauxhall Winter Village is the next best thing to going on an actual skiing holiday. Expect plenty of apres-ski vibes with alpine cabin booths, a pop-up fondue lodge, a winter sports bar and street food from the likes of Souper Soups, Sweet Nothings and City Burger.

Winter Festival at Southbank Centre supported by NatWest

Celebrate the winter season at Southbank Centre with festive shows, a Christmas market, seasonal food and drinks, and family fun. From Thursday, 11th  Novermber – Sunday, 8th January the popular Winter Market returns to the banks of the River Thames. Twinkling wooden cabins line the riverside offering affordable gifts, quirky crafts and handmade pieces, alongside festive snacks and drinks. The annual festival offers a packed programme of free and ticketed events for all ages – from world-class theatrical performances and festive concerts, to social dances and community choirs. There is also plenty of Christmas shopping and seasonal food and drinks to be enjoyed, as well as family activities to keep the children entertained.

Hampstead Village Christmas Lights

This year Hampstead Village is beautifully lit with more Christmas lights than ever before, with the generous support of Hampstead businesses through the new Hampstead Village Business Improvement District (BID) fund. Experience the village’s unique atmosphere at Christmas, and make the most of its many enticing attractions, restaurants and cafes as you do your festive shopping.

Keats House by Candlelight

Join knowledgeable guides of Keats House for an evening tour and a magical opportunity to see Keats House dressed for the festive season and illuminated by candlelight. Finish the evening with a glass of wine and a mince pie in our majestic Chester Room. There will be two identical tours of the house at 6:30pm – 8:00pm and 8:00pm – 9:30pm. Tickets are valid for one tour only. £15, booking required (includes a glass of wine and a mince pie).

Ice Skating

Skate on North West London’s winter ice rink in West Hampstead throughout the festive period. Whether you’re a complete newbie or you know your Double Lutz from your Triple Salchow, it’s a wonderful day out with family, friends or a special someone. Each session is 50 minutes.
