For the fourth year running, Mount Anvil is featured in the prestigious Sunday Times Best Small Comapnies to Work For 2010 list, this year in 21st position (2009: 39th). Killian Hurley, chief executive commented: "This is a fantastic achievement in a very competitive and challenging environment. More importantly, it is one everyone here at Mount Anvil can take pride in; it is a real tribute to our team of engaged, positive people."
A record 571 companies entered the competition with views of 37,597 employees feeding into the 2010 findings. This means that overall Mount Anvil is in the top 3.7% of all entrant companies.
The Mount Anvil Scholarship Award was one of only three companies nominated for a Roll of Honour special award in the Training and Development category. This scheme was launched in 2009 to engage with staff and help them achieve a lifetime dream or ambition. We were thrilled that this new initiative was recognised by the Sunday Times.
Richard Caseby, managing editor of the Sunday Times, stated: "Far from inhibiting businesses, the recession has prompted enlightened leaders to show the world it is possible to trade through challenging times while keeping staff engaged, happy and positive. As we emerge from the downturn, the companies in the Top 100 will lead the recovery."
