Tech City Future Fifty Announcement

It has been an exciting fortnight in Eagle country – a runaway, oversized beach ball, and the first company from the Chinese mainland to open for business in Tech City.

As if that wasn't enough, the first 25 online businesses that will be given special support via the Future Fifty initiative have also been announced.

It’s great news for Tech City – the technology cluster based around Silicon Roundabout on The Eagle’s doorstep. The government-backed Future Fifty scheme is another feather in the area’s cap - a year-long programme that will provide winning organisations with promotional help, access to specialist support from the Government and private sector, and much more.

The Future Fifty scheme is great news for the already booming Old Street area. As Tech City CEO Joanna Shields says, "if you are going to start a business, this is a great place to do it".

Tech City’s dynamism, innovation and energy are making it one of London’s most exciting areas to live, as well as to work and play. We sum it up in The Eagle’s rule #03 - "Rock the Roundabout - live in the booming epicentre of London's tech culture".
