We've changed how we do things on site at The Silk District

Despite the recent changes to our schedule and the adaptations to the way we work, thanks to the hard work and commitment of our Site Team we’ve made significant progress on site in Whitechapel. Check out some recent drone footage below.


Construction update

In The Jacquard, the reinforced concrete frame has been completed and the façade and windows are now in place up to the third floor. Underfloor heating is all good to go on level one, and we’re now working our way up to the other floors. The internal walls are progressing nicely and plumbing and heating are standing by ready to go as soon as this is complete. Even the internal lift is being installed, this building is really starting to take shape!

Over in The Georgette North, the reinforced concrete frame is also complete, and the façade and windows have been installed to level 2.

In The Georgette South, the reinforced concrete frame is underway with the lift and stair core built up to the ninth floor.
