Mount Anvil recognised for putting mental health first

Mount Anvil has been ranked as the top employer for putting wellbeing first at Mind’s Workplace Wellbeing Index Awards. The leading London developer received the ‘number one Gold employer award’ following an annual employer and employee survey.


This year marked the fourth annual awards which act as a benchmark of best practice for employers across all industries, encouraging them to take meaningful action to support both physical and mental wellbeing. Over 100 businesses took part, with winners receiving spot within the bronze, silver, or gold categories depending on where they are in their journey to addressing mental health within the workplace. The gold award is presented to employers who have successfully embedded mental health into their policies and practices.

Mount Anvil’s number one spot within the gold category recognises the company’s proactive and bar raising approach to putting its people’s wellbeing above all else. Money Doctor workshops, to support teammates with the knowledge and awareness to avoid financial stress, as well as a ‘Phone Home’ box  which provides on-site teams with a place and the necessary technology to stay in touch with their families while at work, are just a couple of the initiatives in place to support employees and empower them to deliver quality homes that Mount Anvil is proud to create as a legacy for London.

Commenting on Mount Anvil’s people first practice, the Mind judges said: “As a participant in the Mind Workplace Wellbeing Index every year since inception, Mount Anvil has taken great steps forward improving their wellbeing and mental health initiatives, implementing recommendations and strategies that have been tangibly felt by the increase in their staff wellbeing responses rates (which sit at over 80%) and their staff wellbeing scores.

“It gives us great pleasure to announce Mount Anvil as the top Gold organisation of Index 19/20 - the first small organisation to achieve the top gold score in an Index cycle.”
