Eight members of Mount Anvil’s construction team recently completed the London to Brighton bike ride, raising over £12,000 for the British Heart Foundation.

The team - made up of Dan Morgan, Dan Abel, Nyron Higgins, Jason Taylor Cox, Gordon Alford, Ian Utley, Mario Phylactou and Alex Watson - took part in the 54 mile event on Sunday 17 June with more than 27,000 other cyclists.

Despite threats and warnings of thunderstorms and three months' worth of rain over the weekend, the team arrived bright and early at Clapham Common ready and raring to complete the trip ahead on two wheels.

Mount Anvil donated a lump sum of £8,000 towards the total figure raised.

Dan Abel, a Mount Anvil site manager, said: “As well as raising money for a great cause, participating in the London to Brighton bike ride was a physical and mental challenge for most of us! The team worked hard and we’d like to thank everyone for their generous donations and support”.
