The Courtyard & The Botanist take shape: Update from Royal Eden Docks

What you need to know now: recent visitors, progress from site, comics and cars in the Royal Docks and more.

Construction update

Work at Royal Eden Docks is progressing to schedule, thanks to a full-capacity team of around 200 people on site.

That currently includes the team building the development’s concrete frame, along with dryliners, mechanical, electrical and plumbing teams, bricklayers, carpenters, scaffolders and logistics operatives.

The Courtyard is preparing for internal decoration to start on level one, with kitchens being fitted to level four, and plastering underway on level six.

The building’s external steel frame is now complete, with windows being installed at level 15, brickwork up to level nine, and rainscreen cladding due to start on the upper floors.

The Botanist is matching The Courtyard’s progress almost brick for brick, with decoration starting on level one, kitchens being fitted on level two, flooring going down on level four and plastering underway on level six.

The Botanist’s steel frame is also complete, with windows being installed at level 15 and brickwork up to level nine.

We’ve also appointed a specialist design consultant who will be joining our team’s workshops over the coming week. Together they’ll be fine-tuning designs for the development’s amenities, including the rooftop running track and landscaped gardens.

What’s happening at Mount Anvil

Trust Talks

We recently caught up with four key players at Mount Anvil to talk about trust.

Marcus and Ketan have very different roles, but the one thing they all have in common is their ability to deliver trust for residents. Hear about it in their own words by following the links below.

Walk Marcus talk residents.

Another partnership with One Housing

A proposal for a new scheme on the Isle of Dogs – developed in collaboration with local residents and delivered by Mount Anvil in a repeat partnership with One Housing – will see us create 202 new two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes.

All the homes will offer private roof terraces, balconies or gardens, and the scheme will provide a much-needed mix of social rent, shared ownership and private homes in E14.

Celebrating International Women’s Day

To mark this year’s International Women’s Day, our team at The Verdean in Acton hosted an inspiring evening for residents.

Led by our Community Engagement Manager Sola and Friary Park’s Neighbourhood Coordinator Keisha, the event for women and in support of women saw the team and residents sharing stories of their passions, business ideas, charity work and talents.

The event was a huge success – roll on IWD2023!
