mountanvil.com is owned and operated by Mount Anvil Group Limited, 140 Aldersgate Street, London EC1A 4HY, which is a limited company registered in England under company number 04410393. Our VAT number is 656 838 880. You can contact Mount Anvil Group Limited by clicking on the “Contact Us” link in the top right of the screen.

Many of our developments are delivered by Mount Anvil Group Limited working together with other developers, sometimes through a joint venture vehicle such as a limited liability partnership. 7. MENTORING AND THE MAKERS & MENTORS PLATFORM

For participants in the Makers and Mentors platform the additional terms set out in Annex 1 (below) shall apply. 

 

8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in our site, and in the material published on it.  Those works are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved.

You may print off one copy, and may download extracts, of any page(s) from our site for your personal use and you may draw the attention of others within your organisation to content posted on our site.

You must not modify the paper or digital copies of any materials you have printed off or downloaded in any way, and you must not use any illustrations, photographs, video or audio sequences or any graphics separately from any accompanying text.

Our status (and that of any identified contributors) as the authors of content on our site must always be acknowledged.

You acknowledge that Mount Anvil has no obligation to monitor your access to or use of the website, services or content or to review or edit any content, but has the right to do so for the purpose of operating the website and services, to ensure your compliance with these Terms & Conditions, or to comply with applicable law or the order or requirement of a court, administrative agency or other governmental body. Mount Anvil reserves the right, at any time and without prior notice, to remove or disable access to any content that Mount Anvil, at its sole discretion, considers to be in violation of these Terms & Conditions or otherwise harmful to the website or services provided.

Makers & Mentors Platform Additional Terms & Conditions

 

1. Participants in the Makers and Mentors platform:

  • By participating in the Makers and Mentors platform, you consent to our disclosure of your personal information (excluding personal information revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or similar beliefs, trade union membership, physical or mental health conditions, sexual life, sexual orientation, biometric or genetic data unless you have given us consent or we have a lawful basis to disclose sensitive personal information about you) to potential mentees / mentors and to our marketing of your profile.
  • When you register with Makers and Mentors you: (i) agree to provide us with accurate and complete information; (ii) agree to promptly update your account information with any new information that may affect the operation of your account; and (iii) authorize us, directly or through third parties, to make any inquiries we consider necessary or appropriate to verify your account information or the information you provide to us.
  • If you register via the website to serve as a mentor, you represent and warrant to us that you (i) have requisite knowledge in the categories and industries you select to provide mentoring services in such subjects to mentees; (ii) will use mentoring sessions solely to provide mentoring services only; (iii) your profile you listed at the time of registration to use the website is correct and true and (iv) will not provide mentoring services to persons under 18. You understand and agree that mentees will contact you via email and request that you provide mentoring services. You have no obligation to provide any mentoring services, and any mentoring services you may choose to provide are in your sole discretion.   • You are solely responsible for all equipment necessary to access and use the website and services and to provide Mentoring services.
  • You will not record or otherwise store any Mentoring sessions that you provide.

2. For a Mentee:

You consent to our disclosure of your personal information (excluding personal information revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or similar beliefs, trade union membership, physical or mental health conditions, sexual life, sexual orientation, biometric or genetic data unless you have given us consent or we have a lawful basis to disclose sensitive personal information about you) to your selected mentor in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

  • You are responsible for confirming the identity and qualifications of the mentor you select. We make no guarantees and takes no responsibility for the accuracy or validity of the mentor’s profile registered on the website nor the mentor’s own assertions. You are expected to undertake your own checks and investigations and engage Mentors at your own risk.
  • When you select a mentor, you may request areas that you wish a mentor to focus on – this is a guide only. The mentor makes no guarantee that they can or will focus on these areas.
  • You are solely responsible for all equipment necessary to access and use the website and services and to receive Mentoring services.
  • You will not record or otherwise store any Mentoring sessions that you receive.

3. We do not make any warranties or guarantees as to the mentors who are registered in our Makers and Mentors Programme including without limitation, any guarantee the mentor sessions will be of a particular quality or standard.

4. We do not make any warranties or guarantees regarding the qualifications or certifications of mentors as displayed on their profile.

5. We do not make any warranties or guarantees regarding the quality of advice or views of mentors given during mentor sessions.

6. We do not warrant guarantee or make any representation that the Website, Online Platform or the server that makes the site available on the World Wide Web are free of software viruses, free from errors, or that they will operate uninterrupted.

7. We do not provide professional advice and we give no warranty, guarantee or representation about the accuracy, reliability or timeliness or otherwise, of the information contained on the Website or Online Platform.

8. We do not warrant or make any representation as to the accuracy and are not liable for the content of, any links to third-party websites or resources. Links are provided for your convenience and interest only.

9. any errors or inaccuracies on mentor profiles, in respect of information provided to us by the mentors;

10. You understand and agree that provision of Mentoring Services may require use of a third party website or service (each a “Third Party Service”). Your use of any Third Party Service is voluntary. You shall be solely responsible for acquiring and maintaining all telecommunications and internet services and other hardware and software you may decide to use to provide the mentoring services, including, without limitation, any and all costs, fees, expenses, and taxes of any kind related to use of any Third Party Service. We shall not be responsible for any loss or corruption of data, lost communications, or any other loss or damage of any kind arising from any such Third Party Service.

11. Unacceptable Conduct

You must not engage in the following unacceptable conduct when providing or attending mentor sessions:

  • attending a mentor session more than 30 minutes late or failing to attend at all without reasonable prior notice;
  • engage in conduct that risks the health and safety of the mentor/mentee;
  • assault, harass, bully or threaten the Mentor/ Mentee;
  • use abusive or offensive language; and/or
  • attend a mentor session when intoxicated or impacted by drugs

12. Mentor’s obligations and warranties

  • In conducting the Mentor Sessions, you must:
  • abide by clause 11;
  • attend the Mentor Sessions as and when agreed with the Mentee;
  • provide the Mentee with at least 48hours notice prior to a scheduled Mentor Session if you will be unable to attend;
  • provide the Mentor Sessions with due care, skill and diligence;
  • not charge for the sessions; and
  • act in a proper and professional manner.
  • You represent and warrant in relation to your profile you register, that:

                           - you warrant that any information you provide is accurate and current;

                           - the information is not false, misleading or defamatory;

                           - the information does not contain any obscene or discriminatory language; and

                           - you are the sole author of the information on your profile.

  • We reserve the right to edit or remove any information on your profile from the Online Portal.

13. Mentee’s Obligations

You must:

  • abide by clause 11;
  • attend the Mentor Sessions as and when agreed with the Mentor; and
  • provide the Mentor with at least 48hours notice prior to a scheduled Mentor Session if you will be unable to attend.
