Culture Club: We're up for a business culture award
We’re pretty chuffed that our company culture’s been shortlisted for this year’s Business Culture Awards. These awards celebrate the businesses who best prioritise and nurture their working culture – and we’re in great company on this year’s shortlist. Read more below.
We’re not just proud of the homes we build for Londoners, we’re proud of how we build those homes.
We prioritise our people and our culture because it’s the right thing to do – but it’s great when how we do things gets noticed. This year we’ve been shortlisted for the ‘Best Small Organisation for Business Culture’ award at the Business Culture Awards, and we couldn’t be happier.
These annual awards were established to celebrate forward-thinking organisations who prioritise establishing and nurturing a positive culture across their business.
Every year the awards’ finalists include some of the world’s biggest organisations. Nominated brands last year included the likes of Innocent, BT and Kellogg’s, while this year’s pick of the bunch includes Lloyds Banking Group, Volkswagen and the Financial Times.
The awards are built around the belief that building and communicating a great business culture can improve engagement and productivity, help talent recruitment and retention, and allow great businesses to differentiate themselves from their competition.
Ultimately these are awards that celebrate the way that a positive business culture can make people and businesses happier and more productive.
Mount Anvil has always been a culture-led and people-focused business.
We’re here to create outstanding places where people can thrive, we’re building a better London. We do that with a real focus on our people and our culture.
We employ great people – hungry and humble people – whatever sector their background might be in. We give them a lot of freedom and a lot of responsibility, the opportunity to make their own decisions, use their own experience, and act like business owners.
We drive our numbers, we’re not driven by them. We’re relentless about progress, serious about anything that moves the needle, but we know it’s our people who make that progress happen. We listen to what is working for them and what isn’t. We work as hard on our business as we do in it.
The judges for the Business Culture Awards are passionate about exceptional culture, and seeking to make the workplace a more engaging, collaborative and productive place. These are awards that speak our language, and we couldn’t be happier to have made the cut.
The winners of 2019’s Business Culture Awards will be announced on Thursday 14th November – watch this space to find out how we get on.
