Why We Bought at Keybridge

Elizabeth and Daniel recently bought their first home together at Keybridge after discovering the high specification of the development and the “exciting combination” of heritage and regeneration in Vauxhall. Read more below.

Elizabeth Intsiful and Daniel Zwicky, both 28-year-old professionals, recently bought their first home together - a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment with a large outdoor terrace at the UK’s tallest residential brick tower. Originally from Switzerland and the UK respectively, Daniel and Elizabeth had been renting in Marylebone when they decided that the time was right to buy their first home together. While they both loved the style and period architecture of the homes in the Marylebone area, the couple wanted all of the benefits of a contemporary specification with modern, slick fixtures and fittings as well as the latest integrated appliances. In Daniel’s own words, “Growing up and coming from Switzerland, where a lot of residential buildings are of a high standard, the quality and features of any apartment we looked at were important and decisive factors."

Keybridge was the first development Daniel and Elizabeth visited together and it immediately attracted them with its high specification and heritage feel. As Elizabeth explained, “We liked the fact that rather than being a tall dominating glass tower, the use of brick was sympathetic and in keeping with the surrounding buildings." The local social life is also important to the young couple and they were thrilled to discover the “truly distinct” atmosphere in Vauxhall, represented by the “exciting combination of established heritage mixed with dynamic regeneration."

Daniel and Elizabeth enjoy holding dinner parties for their friends and were delighted with the layout of the apartment, “as it has a large open-plan kitchen/dining/living room leading onto a large terrace, which will be ideal for outdoor entertaining." The couple are also passionate about fitness and are excited about the gym at Keybridge, which is exclusive to residents of the development. In Elizabeth’s words, “We can’t wait to have a gym in our building to use before and after work, and to be able to relax by the pool on the weekends."

The couple are also looking forward to making the most of the quick transport links into central London and taking walks to neighbouring Pimlico, Victoria, Waterloo and Chelsea, “we are looking forward to exploring our new area and trying out all of the new locals."
