Chelsea Botanica is the fastest selling scheme of 2022

Successfully launched in partnership with Peabody, Chelsea Botanica is a collection of new riverside homes in South West London. During the first week of sales in June 2022, over 80% of the 133 new homes were reserved with selling agents Knight Frank, making it the agency’s fastest selling scheme of the year.

Following the launch, there is only a limited number of homes still available to buy. Due to complete in 2025, the new homes range from studios to one, two and three bedroom apartments.

Situated moments from the River Thames, biophilic design is the central theme of the development, connecting residents with nature. The landscaped gardens are designed in partnership with Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Their research scientists have carefully chosen more than 70 plant and tree species to increase biodiversity and create valuable habitats for insects, birds and other wildlife.

Chelsea Botanica also benefits from the first residential partnership with Peloton, the largest immersive fitness platform in the world. The latest Peloton equipment offers live and on demand workouts 24-7 from elite instructors around the world with classes that include not just cycling, but also cardio, resistance training, yoga and meditation.

At the heart of the development are our unique partnerships with Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and Peloton, creating a new type of residential development London’s homebuyers are clearly ready to embrace.”

Lisa Crush, Director of Sales at Peabody comments: “Our partnerships with Mount Anvil are delivering much needed new homes across London. Chelsea Botanica is the second project that we have joined forces on, with a shared vision to create an inclusive community. We’re proud of the popularity of the scheme so far – proof that mixed and balanced communities are successful places.”

Emma Fletcher Brewer, Head of City & East New Homes at Knight Frank, comments: “The new homes market, especially in London, is continuing to see extremely strong demand both from domestic and overseas buyers. One standout launch of the year has to be Chelsea Botanica; the development, which is a joint venture between Mount Anvil and Peabody, launched this summer. During the first week of sales in June 2022, over 80% of the 133 private sale new homes were reserved via Knight Frank, making it the fastest selling scheme of the year. This incredibly strong start to sales is a testament to the best-in-class nature of this development, which Mount Anvil and Peabody are delivering, as well as the partnerships they have carefully curated with leading brands such as Peloton and Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.”

Each home has its own private outdoor space, with courtyard gardens on the ground floor and river, garden or park view balconies and terraces on the upper floors. Communal outdoor areas also include the wooden yoga and pilates decks, social terrace and play areas, and woodland work pods equipped with Wi-Fi and power.

Chelsea Botanica also features wheelchair adaptable apartments, which can be adjusted to meet specific requirements or have been constructed with accessibility in mind. Features include circulation space for wheelchair users, level access showers and ceilings capable of supporting hoists.
