It's been a busy 2020 here at The Silk District
From installing gym equipment and cinema furniture to QA inspections, much of The Silk District is receiving its final touches ready for the first completions early next year.
The external façade is now at the 15th floor and internally progressing up to floor 4 with dryline walls. Plumbing and electrical works are also taking place.
The Georgette South
The brickwork façade is over halfway built, with dryline walls up to floor 5. Kitchens have started to be installed from the first floor. In the new year we'll start hanging all the doors from level 1 and start decorating.
The Georgette North
We're now carrying out our quality assurance inspection process from the first floor upwards. External work will be ongoing into the new year which includes landscaping and taking down the hoarding.
The state-of-the-art gym equipment has been installed and we're currently going through the QA process, before we QA the cinema room once the furniture is installed just before Christmas.
The temporary concierge is having its final coat of paint, a good deep clean ready for the QA inspection to take place here too first thing in the new year.
Supporting the local team!
We’ve sponsored Tower Hamlets Women's Football Club (THWFC), a football team local to The Silk District.
THWFC is currently an adults-only football club whose players range in age, background and ability. The squad currently includes 10 NHS doctors & healthcare workers and five local school teachers - among many other incredible women.
We'll be sure to keep you updated on their league standing!
