A collaborative arrangement between Mount Anvil and Workspace Group, the leading provider of flexible space for SMEs in London, will see the development of Workspace's two-acre Wandsworth Business Village site between Broomhill Road and Buckhold Road, SW18.
Mount Anvil will be responsible for the residential element of the project, with the first apartments expected to be ready by June 2014. Workspace Group will retain the ownership of the new commercial part of the scheme, which will be opened in July 2014.
Workspace obtained planning consent for the £80 million scheme which forms a significant part of the Wandsworth Town Centre regeneration proposals and will comprise 80,000 sq ft of commercial space and 209 new apartments, 156 for private sale and 53 affordable, which will be managed by Octavia Housing Association.
The centre piece of the architecturally-led development will be a 16 storey residential tower, featuring contemporary materials and glazed cladding and communal rooftop gardens. Apartments will include private balconies, terraces and winter gardens. The scheme will also comprise street-facing properties up to six storeys high in traditional brickwork to complement the surrounding vernacular.
