Outstanding design inside and out

It has been a fantastic year for Dollar Bay with nearly all homes sold out, as well as an outstanding success at the prestigious WhatHouse? awards, where the development won Gold for two categories.

The WhatHouse? Awards are the longest established new homes awards, recognising developers across the UK for outstanding design and build quality. Dollar Bay, a joint venture with Citystyle Homes (One Housing Group), scooped two Gold Awards, ‘Best Interior Design’ for the Penthouse and ‘Best Luxury Development’.  Made up of 125 studio, one, two and three-bedroom apartments and penthouses in Canary Wharf, the development has just one four-storey penthouse and a three-bedroom apartment remaining.

For the Penthouse’s interior design, we partnered with interior architecture consultancy Suna Interior Design and renowned interior designer, Daniel Hopwood. Suna Interior Design’s high-specification interior architecture ensures a harmony between the exterior and interior of the development. While Daniel Hopwood created an imaginative, practical and personal design for the expansive four-storey, three-bedroom penthouse.

Helen Fewster, Co-Director of Suna Interior Design commented: “The penthouse apartments offer a truly unique space, and we wanted to ensure the interior provided an impressive back drop while also enhancing the incredible views, which are one of the biggest selling points of these spaces.”

Daniel Hopwood, Founder of Daniel Hopwood commented on the Penthouse design: “We imagined that the potential owner would be a high achiever, who does it their way. The penthouse apartment has been designed for people who revel in being daring.”

The judges’ report stated: “This is probably the best penthouse judges have seen in many years and Mount Anvil has to be complimented on its vision for Dollar Bay.”
