This is how we will create shared value with our partners by delivering better, differently.
ABOUT MOUNT ANVIL
Thousands of outstanding places for Londoners delivered.
Our business is based on repeat partnerships. We don’t do shoddy or short-term.
If we did, we’d have fizzled out.
We launched Chelsea Botanica, One Clapham Junction and The Bellamy - all three nearly sold out within days of official launch with final homes remaining at One Clapham Junction.
We look to the future with a significant cash balance, a pipeline of thousands of quality homes for Londoners and the delivery of a wonderful new community at Acton's Friary Park to look forward to.
the next decade
30 years is too long to wait for the change we need. By working with our partners over the next 10 years, we can deliver better, now.
We’ve weathered recessions while our homes weathered the London drizzle, and all because we’ve gone all-in and created places that people are proud to call home and partnerships that all involved want to repeat.
We will monitor and maximize the social value we create.
Quantifying social value continues to be inherently challenging, and by working with HACT we are contributing to the growing understanding of how social value is created by home building. Our commitment to high levels of resident engagement through our Independent Residents Advisory Panel also creates direct resident feedback on our schemes, identifies areas of best performance and recommends changes to improve resident outcomes and social value.
Working with world-leading experts in pollination and nature-based solutions from RBG Kew, our Biodiversity Blueprint for People, Pollinators and Places showcases best practice to achieve this. By working together, we are going above and beyond what is expected of a developer.
We’re raising the bar when it comes to delivering Biodiversity Net Gain and Urban Greening Factor. By working with RBG Kew and sharing our Blueprint, we will also highlight best practice. Enabling RBG Kew’s scientists and our site managers to understand where success and failure is occurring and why. Respond by evolving and developing the Blueprint, engaging the community throughout the process.
We will monitor and reduce the whole life carbon emissions of our assets and aim to reduce emissions in line with the UK Government’s vision for the UK to be net zero carbon by 2050¹. For homes, this means aligning with and exceeding The Future Homes standard² which aims for homes to produce 75-80% less carbon emissions compared to homes built to the 2013 Building Regulations.
We recognise the importance of establishing regular channels of communication with relevant stakeholders necessary to implement the strategy and will report on implementation of our strategy on an annual basis.
Our partners are involved not just in setting our strategy, but in making sure we follow through on our commitments as external experts.
Our major developments will therefore seek PlanetMark certification of their environmental performance, Kew Gardens scientists will help to make our green spaces more biodiverse and HACT’s toolkit will track the social value we create.
Our employees are the backbone of our success.
Our dedicated Sustainability Working Group is responsible for the oversight of our strategy. The Working Group is chaired by our Partnerships and Communities Director who is on our Executive.
We have published this strategy so that other developers follow our lead and benefit from what we learn.
This is just the start. We regularly survey our partners and residents and will continue the conversation on sustainability through two-way communication, including regular disclosures on how we are doing.
