Construction update

The Oak

Demolition of phase 1 is complete! This means we were able to kick off piling works for The Oak. Piling is where we dig deep holes into the ground which will become the foundation to the building. 

The Groundwork and Concrete Frame Contractors have started on site and we'll be gradually increasing the number of operatives over the coming weeks. 

The site team's welfare and office facilities have been delivered and a 6-week install programme is underway ready for full occupation of The Verdean site team from mid-October.

Crossrail on track for completion early next year!

Crossrail remains on track to open the Elizabeth line in the first half of 2022, with delivery of the line now in its complex final stages. The project is currently operating timetabled train movements in the central operating section, known as Trial Running, and has handed over seven of the new stations to Transport for London.
