Watermeadow Court planning success

We’re thrilled to share that permission to deliver 266 homes in Fulham (of which 50% will be affordable), in partnership with Peabody, has been granted. Read the full story below.

We love working with our friends Peabody, and with this being our fourth joint venture in 3 years we're looking forward to another successful collaboration. What’s more, we’re proud to be delivering quality housing to a site that’s been vacant since 2019.

The 1.3-acre site was originally granted planning permission in 2019 for 218 new homes, of which only 36 would have been affordable. Now, Mount Anvil and Peabody will deliver 266 homes and increase the number of affordable homes to 50%, thanks to the successful optimised planning application.

Dick Mortimer, Director of Development and Sales at Peabody says: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Mount Anvil to deliver more affordable housing to the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, where we currently own and manage over 2,100 affordable homes.

“Our affordable homes at Watermeadow Court will continue a legacy of inclusive places designed for all to use, promoting equality, diversity and social cohesion through mixed and balanced communities and tenure blind design."

Marcus Bate, Partnerships & Communities Director for Mount Anvil adds: "I’m delighted with the news that our planning application with Peabody for 266 homes, of which 50% will be affordable, for the Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham has been approved.

"Our shared vision with Peabody to create not just new, high-quality housing, but inclusive communities, where residents needs and wellbeing are at the forefront of everything we do, means I’m very excited to be working with them again. Here’s to another successful partnership.”
